Buckeyes Offensive Line and Pursuit Expand Fashion Partnership
The collaboration between the Ohio State Buckeyes offensive line and Pursuit, a custom clothing company, is set to broaden its scope beyond tailored suits. This partnership will now include engaging social media content and a short film, allowing players to showcase their individual styles while connecting with the student community.
Owner Nate DeMars expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating that it provides players the opportunity to express their personal fashion choices. He emphasized the inclusivity of custom clothing by saying, “We like to think we can fit everybody. If we can fit a 6’7”, 350-pound left tackle, we ought to be able to make a suit that fits anyone.” This notion of versatility highlights the brand’s commitment to catering to a diverse range of body types.
As part of a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal, this partnership has evolved beyond just clothing. The collaboration now features a series of social media videos that blend football personalities with fashion, generating a growing online following. The innovative approach has not only attracted attention but also created a unique platform for athletes to express themselves outside of the traditional sports narrative.
Short Film and Behind-the-Scenes Insights
In a notable expansion of this collaboration, the Buckeyes and Pursuit are producing a short film. This project will focus on the players’ suit designs while offering a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process. DeMars remarked that the film serves as a fun way to celebrate the offensive line and engage with students outside of the football context, providing a fresh perspective on the athletes’ personalities and interests.
The partnership is proving that the worlds of fashion and football can intersect in compelling ways. From game-day appearances that spotlight the players’ styles to the growing presence on social media, Pursuit’s collaboration with the Buckeyes is redefining how athletes connect with their audience.
As this partnership continues to unfold, it signifies a shift in how sports and fashion can work together to enhance the visibility and individuality of players. Fans and students alike can anticipate more exciting developments as the Buckeyes offensive line embraces this innovative approach to personal branding and style expression.
