UPDATE: Adrian Peterson, the former All-Pro running back, has received court approval to travel to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving following his recent legal troubles. Just a month after being ordered to stay in Texas due to a DWI and weapon arrest, the judge has granted him permission to celebrate with family from November 23 until December 1.

According to TMZ Sports, court documents reveal that Peterson’s attorney requested the travel allowance, which was approved on November 14. As part of his release conditions, Peterson must adhere to strict guidelines, including maintaining a clean record, surrendering all firearms, and submitting to random drug testing.

Peterson will also be permitted to travel to Las Vegas from November 18 to 20 for “work-related obligations.” This development comes after he was found asleep behind the wheel of an SUV at a gas station on October 26, leading to his DWI arrest and an additional charge for unlawfully carrying a weapon.

The 40-year-old athlete’s October arrest followed a similar incident in Minnesota earlier this year, where he was charged after being pulled over for speeding and later submitting a breath sample that registered at 0.14. Peterson’s next hearing for his October arrest is set for January.

This latest ruling allows Peterson to return to his family during the holiday season, underscoring the ongoing legal challenges he faces. As he prepares for Thanksgiving, many are watching closely to see how these issues will unfold in the coming months.

Stay tuned for further updates on Adrian Peterson’s legal journey and its implications as the new year approaches.
