Gaten Matarazzo Reveals Life with Finn Wolfhard during Final Season
Los Angeles, CA — Actor Gaten Matarazzo has shared candid insights into his living arrangements with co-star Finn Wolfhard during the filming of the final season of Stranger Things. Appearing on the podcast “Dinner’s on Me” hosted by Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Matarazzo described the experience as chaotic and less than tidy, likening it to a typical college dormitory.
The two actors, who have been friends since the show’s inception, found their shared apartment quickly descending into disarray. Reflecting on their living situation, Matarazzo said, “I would look around, like, three months after we were living together and be like, ‘This place is disgusting.’” He admitted that both he and Wolfhard contributed equally to the mess, noting, “We kind of matched each other’s energy.” Initially, the clutter was contained to their rooms, but it soon expanded throughout the apartment, with laundry piling up and dishes accumulating in the sink.
Friendship Amidst the Chaos
Despite the disorder, Matarazzo emphasized that their year of cohabitation significantly strengthened their bond. The duo learned to manage their living space, especially when friends planned to visit. “We’d be like, ‘No. Do not come within 10 feet of our home,’” Matarazzo joked. By the conclusion of their lease, they had adjusted their habits and considered the experience “so much fun” as they prepared to close a significant chapter in their lives.
As Stranger Things enters its final season, the cast is set to say goodbye to their fictional hometown of Hawkins, Indiana. The first four episodes of Season 5 premiered on November 26, with the remaining three episodes scheduled for release on December 25. The series finale, a two-hour event, will debut on December 31 and will also be screened in 350 theaters across the United States and Canada, offering fans a unique cinematic experience.
The creators of the show, Matt and Ross Duffer, expressed their excitement about the finale. In a joint statement, they stated, “Getting to see it on the big screen, with incredible sound, picture, and a room full of fans, feels like the perfect — dare we say, bitchin’ — way to celebrate the end of this adventure.”
As Matarazzo and Wolfhard transition from their messy apartment days, the memories they created together, both on and off set, are sure to endure well beyond the series’ conclusion. The final season of Stranger Things is now available for streaming on Netflix, with the much-anticipated finale just around the corner. Stay tuned for further updates on this iconic series.
