Discovery Star Bear Brown Hints at Alaskan Bush People Return
URGENT UPDATE: Bear Brown, star of Alaskan Bush People, has just ignited excitement among fans by suggesting that the beloved reality show may return after over three years off the air. In a recent TikTok video, Brown addressed swirling rumors and confirmed that there are signs pointing toward a comeback, despite no official announcement from the Discovery Channel.
In the video shared with his over 660,000 followers, Bear stated, “It’s looking closer and closer like it might be happening,” referring to the potential revival of the series. Fans have been eagerly awaiting news since the show aired its last episode in December 2022, leaving viewers concerned that the program might be permanently canceled.
Amid speculation, Bear dismissed claims that the ongoing legal issues stemming from the $500,000 lawsuit against his late father, Billy Brown, were the reason for the show’s hiatus. The lawsuit, initiated by Billy’s business partner shortly after his passing in February 2021, has yet to be resolved. However, Bear confidently asserted that the case would be “definitely thrown out” and does not impact the future of the show.
Fans have also speculated that the distance between family members, who have recently settled in various states including Washington, Texas, and Alaska, might hinder filming. Bear explained that the recent merger between Warner Bros. and Discovery Channel in April 2022 was a significant factor complicating production.
In a dramatic turn of events, Warner Bros. was recently acquired by Netflix for an astonishing $82.7 billion. As a result, the newly formed company, Warner Bros. Discovery, is splitting into two publicly traded entities, with the full separation expected to finalize by mid-2026. Bear hinted that this corporate restructuring might pave the way for Alaskan Bush People to return.
“The fact that our show is on hiatus greatly increases the return of Alaskan Bush People,” Bear teased, emphasizing that the network remains interested in following the family. However, skepticism remains among fans who have not heard updates from the network since the show’s alleged cancellation after 14 successful seasons.
The Brown family has faced significant challenges in recent years, including personal struggles and health issues. Bear’s sister, Rain Brown, and her husband were arrested for burglary in April, and concerns have been raised about Rain’s wellbeing. Additionally, their mother, Ami Brown, has bravely battled stage three lung cancer, and her health took a concerning turn earlier this year when she faced hospitalization for pneumonia.
As fans eagerly await confirmation of the show’s return, the potential revival of Alaskan Bush People resonates with many who have followed the family’s journey for nearly a decade. With corporate changes and hopeful signs emerging, viewers are left wondering: Could new episodes be just around the corner? Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
