Jaylen Brown Joins Druski’s Boston Auditions as Guest Judge
UPDATE: Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown just wrapped up a hilarious stint as a pre-audition judge for comedian Druski‘s “Coulda Been Records” auditions in Boston. This unconventional role showcases Brown’s off-court charisma ahead of the Celtics’ season opener.
Earlier today, on September 27, 2023, Brown participated in the auditions to determine which contestants would advance to the next stage for the fictional record label. His role mirrors that of Lamar Jackson, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback, who made headlines during a similar event in May.
During the auditions, Brown made four memorable appearances, including a comedic turn as aspiring rapper “Blicky” while wearing a Jayson Tatum jersey. He engaged with contestants, jokingly suggesting one participant was a perfect fit for Druski’s reality dating show, “Coulda Been Love.”
“She needs to be on ‘Coulda Been Love,’ that’s a keeper right there for Druski,” Brown quipped, drawing laughter from the crowd.
Brown’s humor continued as he playfully asked contestant “BStar” about her WNBA team before she showcased her dance moves, successfully earning a pass to the official auditions. His final approval went to “Smeet,” who delivered an inspiring motivational speech from the iconic film “Rocky.”
As the Celtics prepare for their season opener, Brown, who scored 25 points, collected 6 rebounds, and provided 4 assists in a close 117-116 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers earlier today, proves he can shine both on and off the court.
The excitement surrounding Druski’s auditions and Brown’s involvement is captivating fans and creating buzz in the sports and entertainment communities. Stay tuned for more updates as the auditions unfold and see who will make it to the next round!
