Einstein Bros Bagels is expanding its presence in Texas with a new location planned for San Marcos. The bagel shop will open at 135 Northgate Rd, BLDG 1, STE 100 in the summer of 2026, as confirmed by a recently filed permit. According to Roger Adams, Texas Director of Operations at Bagel Brands, construction is scheduled to begin in March and is expected to be completed ahead of the projected opening date of July 30, 2026.

Adams indicated that the location might welcome its first customers as early as June 2026. The project, which aims to transform the existing leased space, will require an investment of approximately $350,000. While the new outlet will maintain the brand’s popular offerings, no significant changes are anticipated in its menu.

Founded in 1995 in Miami, Einstein Bros Bagels has become a beloved name for bagel enthusiasts across the globe. The brand is recognized for its diverse selection, which includes unique flavors such as blueberry and cheddar jalapeño. Over the years, Einstein Bros has grown significantly, acquiring several retail bagel chains in regions that lacked bagel culture.

After facing bankruptcy in 2000, the company was acquired by New World Coffee and later became part of Panera Brands in August 2021. With more than 700 locations now operating across the United States, the brand’s expansion efforts continue to gain momentum.

As Bagel Brands works to broaden its footprint in Texas, residents of Hays County can look forward to enjoying the new Einstein Bros Bagels location. Keep an eye out for its grand opening in the summer of 2026 at 135 Northgate Rd, BLDG 1, STE 100.
