Hyatt Place to Launch New Hotel in Bhuj, India, by 2029
Global hospitality group Hyatt Hotels has announced plans to debut its Hyatt Place brand in Bhuj, Gujarat, India, with the hotel set to open in 2029. This development comes as part of Hyatt’s strategy to expand its presence in key markets across India, aiming to cater to both business and leisure travellers.
The hotel will be constructed by Primitive Property on a site of approximately 7,500 square meters. It will feature 125 guest rooms and a variety of facilities designed to accommodate the needs of modern travellers. These include conference and meeting spaces, an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby lounge, and an outdoor dining area. Additionally, guests can expect amenities such as Wi-Fi connectivity and 24-hour food options.
Meeting the Needs of Modern Travellers
According to Dhruva Rathore, Vice President of Development for Hyatt India and Southwest Asia, the decision to establish a Hyatt Place in Bhuj is driven by the city’s growing reputation as a cultural and corporate hub. Rathore stated, “We are thrilled to announce plans for the Hyatt Place brand to enter Bhuj, the gateway to Kutch district, which is fast establishing itself as a dynamic destination.”
The design of the hotel aims to create a seamless experience for guests, combining spacious accommodations with flexible social spaces. Rathore emphasized that the hotel will cater to the diverse needs of today’s travellers, ensuring a balance between work and relaxation.
The inclusion of extensive conference facilities reflects Hyatt’s commitment to supporting corporate guests, alongside those visiting for leisure. This strategic focus on versatile spaces is intended to enhance the overall guest experience.
Strategic Expansion in India
The development of Hyatt Place Bhuj aligns with Hyatt’s broader goal of expanding its portfolio in India, particularly in locations that show significant potential for growth. The partnership with Primitive Property highlights the vision of creating a modern, international hotel that meets the rising demand for high-quality accommodations in the region.
Ankit Anupgiri Goswami and Kruti Ankit Goswami, partners at Primitive Property, expressed their enthusiasm about the collaboration. “Our vision for Hyatt Place Bhuj has always been to create a modern, international hotel that elevates the guest experience,” they stated. They are confident that the hotel will become a preferred choice for both business and leisure travellers in the area.
The announcement of this new property indicates a continuing demand for internationally branded accommodations in Bhuj and reflects the ongoing expansion efforts of global hospitality providers within India’s rapidly evolving travel sector. Recently, Hyatt also launched the Thompson Hotels brand in the Asia Pacific with a new property in Shanghai, China, further underscoring its commitment to growth in diverse markets.
With plans set for a 2029 opening, Hyatt Place Bhuj is poised to cater to the increasing influx of visitors drawn by the region’s cultural richness and emerging corporate landscape. As Hyatt continues to expand its influence in India, the new hotel is expected to play a significant role in enhancing the hospitality offerings available to travellers in Bhuj.
