McDonald’s McRib and Holiday Pie Return Just in Time for Holidays
BREAKING NEWS: McDonald’s has just announced the highly anticipated return of two seasonal favorites: the McRib sandwich and the Holiday Pie. This exciting comeback arrives just in time for the festive season, as families face increasing food costs and inflation.
The McRib, featuring seasoned boneless pork drenched in tangy barbecue sauce, slivered onions, and pickles on a toasted bun, will be available starting November 11, 2023. However, it’s only offered at select regional McDonald’s locations across the U.S., including major cities like Miami, Dallas, Cleveland, St. Louis, Atlanta, Chicago, Seattle, and Los Angeles. Customers are urged to check local availability before heading out, as this menu item is not permanent.
Alongside the McRib, the Holiday Pie will grace participating restaurants from November 14, 2023. This delightful treat boasts a smooth custard nestled in a flaky, buttery crust, glazed with sugar and topped with colorful rainbow sprinkles. Like the McRib, it will only be available for a limited time.
McDonald’s Senior Marketing Director Guillaume Huin stated:
“The legendary McRib returns 11/11 at most McDonald’s in the US. It is our most-mentioned limited-time product online, higher than other evergreen items, particularly on X.”
Interestingly, the McRib has recently gained unexpected traction within the trading and cryptocurrency communities. Observers note that the S&P 500 and Bitcoin tend to perform well following the McRib’s return, highlighting a quirky correlation between fast food and market movements. This trend was particularly notable in 2017, 2020, and 2021.
Social media users are already buzzing about the return. One stock market watcher on X remarked,
“Every time McDonald’s brings back the McRib, markets mysteriously pump. S&P 500 and Bitcoin both showed gains after past releases.”
As for the Holiday Pie, McDonald’s touts it as
“the greatest gift you can get for yourself or your friends and family.”
This sweet treat is expected to draw significant interest as the holiday season approaches.
While McDonald’s has not disclosed how long the McRib or Holiday Pie will be available, historical patterns suggest these items may remain on menus for several weeks or until supplies run out. The fast-food giant is likely to monitor sales and customer feedback closely to gauge potential future offerings of these limited-edition items.
Stay tuned for more updates as the launch date approaches, and make sure to mark your calendars for this delicious seasonal treat! This is a developing story.
