**15-Year-Old Robert D. Gunn Jr. Dies in Roseland Shooting**
URGENT UPDATE: A tragic shooting on the South Side of Chicago has resulted in the death of a 15-year-old boy following an altercation. The incident occurred around 12:38 p.m. on October 14, 2023, in the 9200 block of South LaSalle Street in the Roseland neighborhood, according to the Chicago Police Department (CPD).
Officials report that during the altercation, an unknown offender shot the teenager in the chest. He was rushed to Christ Hospital in critical condition but sadly succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the boy’s identity as Robert D. Gunn Jr..
As the investigation continues, authorities have not yet released information about the suspect involved in this heartbreaking incident. The Chicago Police are actively seeking leads and encourage anyone with information to come forward.
