New Thrift Store Find It Keep It Opens in Elyria with Ribbon Cutting
Find It Keep It, a new thrift store, officially opened its doors in Elyria on November 15 with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. Located inside The Shoppes on Broad at 374 Broad St., the store aims to provide a selection of unique and trendy items for both men and women at affordable prices.
Owner Ellen Madison expressed her vision for the store, emphasizing her focus on sourcing both unique pieces and well-known brands. “We have that [name brand] here — you don’t have to do as much looking,” Madison stated during the opening event. Her curated collection includes a variety of clothing items such as shirts, jackets, T-shirts, shoes, and accessories from popular brands.
Madison has personally handpicked many of the items available for sale, showcasing her passion for thrifting. She shared, “I love thrifting; I do a lot of thrifting myself.” The selection features notable brands including Nike, Athleta, Pacsun, Converse, Coach, and Abercrombie and Fitch, among others.
In addition to selling items, Find It Keep It is accepting donations of men’s and women’s clothing. Madison hopes to expand her business model to include purchasing clothing in the future as the store establishes itself. “We are hoping to expand online a little bit in the future,” Madison remarked, hinting at plans for a website to showcase top-tier items.
Opening in a developing shopping center, Madison feels optimistic about her new location. She secured the space through the support of Dan Martin, owner of The Shoppes on Broad, who was enthusiastic about her thrift store concept. “I’ve been so blessed,” she reflected, acknowledging the support from fellow business owners in the area. “I think it’s definitely scary [starting out], but it’s comforting knowing we have such a good support system here.”
As Find It Keep It begins its journey in Elyria, the store not only offers quality, discounted shopping options but also aims to foster community connections. For more information, interested shoppers can visit Find It Keep It on Facebook or reach out via email at [email protected].
