The basketball schedules for the 2025-2026 season have been officially released, outlining a competitive lineup for teams in the Great Bend area and surrounding regions. Schools across various districts will face off in a series of games, tournaments, and classic events beginning in December 2025.

Great Bend and Nearby Schools

The Great Bend basketball team will kick off its season on December 5, 2025, against Andover Central at Hutchinson. The schedule features a series of notable matchups, including a home game against Pratt on December 19 and a series of away games in January. Key dates for the Great Bend team include a tournament at Salina from January 22 to January 24 and a matchup against Hays TMP on January 27. The season will conclude with a critical game against Hays on February 27.

Ellinwood will also compete vigorously this season, starting with an away game against La Crosse on December 5. Their schedule includes participation in the Greensburg Tournament from December 9 to December 13. Chase’s season features matchups against Macksville on January 13 and Pawnee Heights on February 17.

The Macksville basketball team opens its season with a home game against Ness City on December 5. Their schedule includes participation in the Larned Keady Classic from December 9 to December 13 and several crucial games in January, including a matchup against Central Plains on January 11.

Otis-Bison’s basketball season starts with an away game against Tescott on December 2 and includes participation in the Fairfield Classic from December 9 to December 12. The team will face Ness City on December 16 and has a packed January schedule featuring games against Victoria and La Crosse.

Stafford’s team begins its season with a home game against South Barber on December 4. The team will participate in the Fairfield Tournament from December 8 to December 12 and has a schedule that includes important matchups against Otis-Bison and Skyline.

Finally, Pawnee Heights will open its season away against South Gray on December 4. Their schedule also includes participation in the Quinter Castle Rock Tournament from December 9 to December 13, with key games against Spearville on December 19 and Ingalls on January 16.
