Ars Choralis Unveils Holiday Concert Schedule for 2025–26 Season
The Ars Choralis chorus has announced its schedule for a series of holiday concerts, marking the beginning of its 2025–26 season. The performances will take place on December 6, 2025, at 7 p.m. at Holy Cross/Santa Cruz Episcopal Church in Kingston, New York, and on December 7, 2025, at 4 p.m. at Overlook United Methodist Church in Woodstock.
This year’s concert, titled “Holiday Sampler,” will blend holiday music and traditions originating from the American colonies with sacred Christmas music from Europe. The chorus will be joined by the Hudson Valley Youth Brass Ensemble, under the direction of Harvey Boyer. This collaborative effort promises to provide a rich musical experience that reflects the diverse tapestry of American culture.
Special Events and Ticket Information
Tickets for the concerts are priced at $30 at the door, $25 for advance purchases, and $10 for students. In keeping with tradition, Ars Choralis will also host a free New Year’s Eve concert titled “A Quilt of Courage” on December 31, 2025, at Old Dutch Church, located at 262 Wall St. in Kingston, starting at 6 p.m.. This concert, organized in partnership with the city of Kingston and the church, aims to honor the contributions of individuals from the Hudson Valley who have significantly impacted the nation’s history. During this event, attendees will have the opportunity to make cash donations to benefit People’s Place of Kingston.
In addition to the holiday concerts, Ars Choralis will perform with the Windham Festival Chamber Orchestra on November 29, 2025, at the Orpheum Performing Arts Center in Tannersville. This performance will begin at 7 p.m., further enriching the community’s cultural offerings leading into the holiday season.
As Ars Choralis embarks on this season, it will also commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The chorus plans to explore the many rich and diverse cultures that contribute to the American identity throughout its performances.
For those interested in attending these holiday events, tickets can be purchased through the chorus’s official website or at the venues on the day of the concerts. The upcoming performances highlight not only the artistic talent within the community but also the importance of celebrating cultural heritage during the festive season.
