Jennifer Lawrence Finds ‘Revenge’ in Collaboration with Robert Pattinson
Jennifer Lawrence recently expressed her excitement about collaborating with Robert Pattinson on the upcoming film Die My Love, referring to the opportunity as “revenge” for missing out on the role of Bella Swan in the Twilight franchise. In a candid discussion, Lawrence reflected on her past audition for the iconic role that ultimately went to Kristen Stewart, revealing how this new project represents a significant moment for her career.
During an interview with Variety, Lawrence was reminded of her earlier audition for Bella Swan and asked if working alongside Pattinson fulfilled that ambition. With a playful tone, the actress replied, “Yeah, it’s the total revenge that I’ve wanted.” This light-hearted comment underscores the competitive nature of the film industry, where actors often vie for high-profile roles.
Lawrence, now 35, has previously shared her thoughts on the impact of not being cast in Twilight. On the Bill Simmons podcast, she mentioned that she did not receive a callback after her audition, stating that her life would be “totally different” had she landed the role. She emphasized that being cast in Twilight would have likely led her to be involved in a franchise while balancing other projects, similar to her experience with The Hunger Games series.
Reflections on Their Careers
In the same interview, Lawrence also revealed her “favorite part” of working with Pattinson was simply sharing the same space without constant interaction. “I really appreciate that in a coworker,” she noted, indicating her preference for a collaborative environment that allows for both connection and independence.
Pattinson, who gained fame through the Twilight series, also expressed admiration for Lawrence. In a conversation with Variety, he recalled first seeing her performance in Winter’s Bone, remarking on her “elemental power” that captured attention early in her career. “You could just see that from the second her career started, she was the biggest star in the world,” he added, highlighting her impressive trajectory in Hollywood.
As anticipation builds for Die My Love, which is set to hit US theaters on November 7, 2025, the film features an impressive cast alongside Lawrence and Pattinson, including Sissy Spacek, LaKeith Stanfield, and Nick Nolte. The collaboration between these talented actors promises to deliver a compelling cinematic experience.
The upcoming film marks a significant moment not only for Lawrence and Pattinson but also for audiences eager to see how their combined talents will unfold on screen.
