NBA YoungBoy’s 2018 Bucket List Revealed Amid Tour Success
NBA YoungBoy, the Baton Rouge rapper, has recently drawn attention after a bucket list he created in 2018 surfaced online. This list, shared on social media, highlights a series of ambitious goals that reflect both his aspirations as an artist and personal milestones he hoped to achieve. The timing of this revelation coincides with his ongoing “MASA” tour, prompting fans and observers to reflect on how far he has come since then.
Goals From the Past and Present Achievements
Among the goals on this intriguing list were releasing his debut album, skydiving, collaborating with Adele, having a daughter, obtaining his GED, giving back to his community’s schools, and achieving personal freedom by getting off probation. Further, he aspired to leave Louisiana for good, earn a platinum album, and win a Grammy Award.
Since creating this list, NBA YoungBoy has accomplished several of his objectives. He released his debut album in 2018, has multiple platinum albums to his name, and is a father to several daughters. Additionally, he has participated in community initiatives, addressing some of the educational needs in his area. Yet, some aspirations, like the anticipated collaboration with Adele and the quest for a Grammy, remain unfulfilled.
Challenges Amidst Success
Despite his achievements, NBA YoungBoy has faced various challenges, particularly concerning concert cancellations during his “MASA” tour. Rumors have circulated suggesting that he was banned from performing in New Orleans or even throughout the entire state of Louisiana. These claims prompted a response from Reese Harper, the communications director for the New Orleans Police Department, who clarified the situation.
“Whether or not NBA YoungBoy performs future concerts in Louisiana is a matter solely between his promoters and the management of the Smoothie King Center, who negotiate and execute those agreements,”
said Harper.
On October 20, 2025, Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick confirmed that NBA YoungBoy had adhered to the agreements in place during his two concerts at the Smoothie King Center. This statement further emphasized that the New Orleans Police Department does not determine which artists can perform in the city.
As the tour progresses, fans remain eager to see how NBA YoungBoy navigates these hurdles while continuing to fulfill the goals he set for himself years ago. The unfolding story of his career highlights both his significant accomplishments and the ongoing challenges he faces in the music industry.
