Teaser Released for High-Octane Malayalam Film ‘Chatha Pacha’

The teaser for the upcoming Malayalam film “Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies” has been released by India’s Reel World Entertainment. This film delves into the vibrant and chaotic world of wrestling culture in Kerala, resembling the high-energy atmosphere of WWE. With a cast led by Roshan Mathew, known for his role in the award-winning film “Paradise,” and Arjun Ashokan, recognized for “Bramayugam,” the film promises an engaging blend of action and emotion.

First-time director Adhvaith Nayar is at the helm of this ambitious project, which boasts an impressive technical team. Notable figures include director of photography Anend C. Chandran, action choreographer Kalai Kingson, and lyricist Vinayak Sasikumar. The soundtrack is particularly noteworthy, featuring the celebrated Bollywood composer trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, marking their debut in Malayalam cinema. The music rights have been secured by T-Series.

The film is set to be released in the Malayalam language, with plans for distribution in several other Indian languages. In Kerala, Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films will oversee the release, while PVR Inox Pictures has taken on distribution responsibilities in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Negotiations are reportedly underway for Telugu and Hindi language rights, with The Plot Pictures managing international distribution.

Producer Shihan Shoukath expressed the evolution of the project, stating, “We’ve spent the last two years building ‘Chatha Pacha’ from the ground up, and in that time, it’s grown from a scrappy underdog idea into a full-blown world we’ve poured our hearts into.” He emphasized the film’s energetic and chaotic essence, aiming to present a unique story that resonates with audiences.

Roshan Mathew also shared his enthusiasm, stating, “‘Chatha Pacha’ is unlike anything I’ve done before. The best part is, I think that’s true for most of us who are part of this film. It really is a uniquely mad idea.”

As anticipation builds, the release of the teaser provides an exciting preview of what promises to be a dynamic contribution to Malayalam cinema.
