A beloved café is set to open its third location in Philadelphia, with Cake & Joe preparing to welcome patrons to Logan Square. The new shop will be situated at 1735 Market Street, joining the existing locations in Pennsport and Fishtown. Best friends and co-owners Sarah Qi and Trista Tang aim to create a welcoming atmosphere where customers can enjoy delicious food and drinks.

The café’s mission is to bring joy to people’s lives, as reflected in their motto: “Putting smiles on people’s faces was what we wanted to strive for.” The new location will offer a range of beverages, from classic tea and coffee to inventive lattes, including flavors like taro coconut matcha, cream caramel, and rose. Refreshers will feature unique combinations such as lemon-mint, lychee, peach, and mango. The café also specializes in Calpis, a Japanese lactic-acid drink offered in fruity varieties.

Menu Highlights and Offerings

In addition to beverages, Cake & Joe will serve an array of enticing food options. Customers can indulge in a selection of mousse cakes with flavors ranging from peanut butter chocolate to raspberry and passion fruit. The pastry menu includes popular items like croissants and muffins.

Breakfast and lunch choices will feature classic sandwiches, including breakfast options and avocado toast. Notable dishes include the mushroom melt, which features marinated Kennett Square mushrooms paired with Cabot cheddar and Cooper Sharp cheese, as well as the blueberry ricotta dish, combining ricotta, honey, and blueberries on sourdough bread. For heartier meals, the café will offer a sous vide beef kimchi rice bowl and a homemade braised pork belly rice bowl.

The Cake & Joe website currently states “Coming soon,” but an official opening date has yet to be announced. Interested customers can follow the café’s updates on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook.

As Cake & Joe continues to cultivate its identity in the Philadelphia food scene, the new Logan Square location promises to be a vibrant spot for both locals and visitors alike. With its focus on quality ingredients and a welcoming environment, the café aims to be a community favorite in the heart of the city.
