Hundreds Celebrate Halloween at Flagship Cinemas’ Trunk or Treat Event

Flagship Premium Cinemas hosted a lively Trunk or Treat at the Movies event in Churchville on October 18, 2023, attracting hundreds of families eager to celebrate the Halloween season. The event transformed the cinema’s parking lot into a festive area filled with themed car displays and costumed participants, providing a safe and engaging environment for children to collect treats.
Participants showcased a range of costumes, from classic characters to creative interpretations. Among them, Brooks Bradley, a nine-year-old from Bel Air, posed with Viane Vargas, who donned the frightening persona of Art the Clown from the film series “Terrifier.” The interaction highlighted the community spirit that permeated the event.
Young attendees like Cole Waggoner, also nine and hailing from Aberdeen, excitedly displayed his scary bunny outfit. Parents joined in the fun, with Paul Applegate and his seven-year-old daughter, Aubrey Applegate, dressed as characters from “A League of Their Own” while distributing candy to eager trick-or-treaters.
Community involvement was evident as local residents participated enthusiastically. Canon Holmes and Stella Rineer dressed in Willy Wonka-themed costumes, handing out treats to delighted children. The event also featured families like Brenda Killen and her daughters, Addisyn and Avery, who matched in their Scooby-Doo outfits, further enhancing the festive atmosphere.
In addition to candy distribution, the event offered fun activities for children, including hair glittering. Madeline Price, a salon leader from Hair Cuttery, added a touch of sparkle to the hair of four-year-old Tova Mills from Bel Air, making the experience even more memorable.
As families navigated through the parking lot, they admired various themed trunk displays, including a notably creative dinosaur setup. Visitors entered the festivities through an inflatable castle, which added an exciting element to their experience.
The Trunk or Treat at the Movies event not only provided a platform for Halloween celebration but also fostered community connections. The success of the event is a testament to the efforts of Flagship Premium Cinemas in creating a welcoming environment for families to enjoy the season together.
