IKEA Unveils Bold ‘Rebel Pink’ as Color of the Year 2026
IKEA has announced its Color of the Year for 2026—Rebel Pink. This striking choice marks a departure from the brand’s traditional minimalistic and neutral color palettes, introducing a vibrant hue aimed at energizing home spaces. The selection reflects the company’s intent to foster joy and creativity in interior design.
In conjunction with this announcement, IKEA will launch the GREJSIMOJS collection, which features a total of 33 pieces, all designed to celebrate the theme of “play.” The collection incorporates the lively Rebel Pink color, showcasing a range of items that are not only functional but also visually appealing. One standout item is the reimagined MAMMUT chair, which is now adorned with a pink furry cover.
Anna Granath, Range Identity Leader for IKEA, stated, “GREJSIMOJS is meant to be a visible part of the home furnishing, with objects that are beautifully designed to fit the home, even after the children have gone to bed.” This ethos underscores the collection’s intention to blend playful aesthetics with practicality.
The versatility of Rebel Pink has already caught the attention of design enthusiasts. Among the items that exemplify this color’s potential are a range of home accessories. For instance, a round plant pot with a grooved-line design adds a pop of color to any windowsill, while a mesh wire basket with a wooden handle offers stylish storage solutions throughout the home.
For those looking to enhance their dining experience, the collection includes eye-catching dishes suitable for both baking and serving. These dishes come equipped with handy lids to keep food warm, merging functionality with aesthetic appeal.
To further elevate home decor, a quirky mirror featuring a wave-shaped frame in this vibrant color serves both decorative and practical purposes. It is designed to enhance spaces like bedrooms and hallways, making a statement without overwhelming a room.
Additionally, the collection features a stylish Bluetooth speaker that not only delivers clear and powerful sound but also complements various home decors. Users can enhance their audio experience by connecting multiple NATTBAD speakers, seamlessly integrating sound into their living environments.
The GREJSIMOJS collection, along with the Rebel Pink color, signifies a bold move by IKEA to encourage creativity and joy in home furnishing. This refreshing approach aims to inspire customers to embrace color and playfulness in their living spaces.
