Nominations Now Open for Great Bend Chamber’s 2026 Awards
Nominations for the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce’s 2026 Annual Awards are officially open. This initiative aims to recognize outstanding contributions from local businesses and individuals in Great Bend, Kansas. The Chamber invites submissions for several prestigious awards that celebrate excellence in various areas of community engagement and leadership.
The awards include the Business of the Year Award, which honors Chamber members that demonstrate exceptional customer service, innovation, growth, and community involvement. This award seeks to highlight businesses that have shown resilience and adaptability in a changing environment.
Another significant accolade is the Citizen of the Year Award. This award recognizes individuals who exhibit remarkable leadership and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on the Great Bend community. The Chamber emphasizes the importance of acknowledging those who actively contribute to the community’s welfare and development.
For younger leaders, the NextGen Leader of the Year Award is presented by FUEL Barton County. This award spotlights emerging leaders whose vision and dedication are shaping the future of the region. It aims to encourage and empower the next generation of influencers in Great Bend.
To submit nominations, individuals can visit the Chamber’s official website at greatbend.org/awardprograms. The deadline for nominations is set for Friday, December 12, 2025. The winners will be announced during the Annual Awards Ceremony on February 28, 2026.
In addition to nominations, the Chamber will soon provide information regarding registration and sponsorship opportunities for the event. The Annual Awards Ceremony serves as a platform to celebrate the achievements of local leaders and businesses, fostering a sense of community pride and engagement.
