I have a great-grandson that I’m raising. He’s four years old. There’s a lot of people in need in times of holidays.” Her story highlights the pressing needs that many families experience during this season.

The need for food assistance in Bexar County is underscored by local officials. Bexar County Judge Peter Sakai stated, “It is a real problem; it is a problem right now,” emphasizing the critical situation many families find themselves in as Thanksgiving approaches.
