Young Pianists Shine at NEPA Music Teachers Association Auditions
The NEPA Music Teachers Association (NEPMTA) recently conducted auditions for its annual Sutton recitals, providing aspiring young pianists an opportunity to showcase their skills. The auditions took place at Darte Hall on the campus of Wilkes University, where a panel of judges, including Ann Manganiello and David Meehan, assessed the performances.
Leading the event was Leonarda Sperrazza, who served as chair, with Andrea Bogusko acting as co-chair. Valerie Grabiec oversaw the theory test segment, ensuring students demonstrated their comprehensive musical knowledge alongside their performance abilities.
The Sutton Recitals, a highlight of the NEPMTA calendar, are scheduled to occur in November at Messiah University in Mechanicsburg. These recitals not only allow students to perform but also celebrate their dedication and musical achievements.
