Erie County Approves Budget, Sean Ryan’s Inauguration Set for Noon
UPDATE: The Erie County Legislature has just approved the amended 2026 county budget in a decisive vote of 7 to 4. The $2.1 billion budget, proposed by County Executive Mark Poloncarz, includes a significant property tax decrease, dropping from $3.29 to $3.09 per thousand dollars of assessed value. In another critical development, Buffalo Mayor-elect Sean Ryan will be inaugurated at the historic Kleinhans Music Hall on January 1, 2024, at noon.
