Fox News Host Criticizes Democrats Ahead of No Kings Protests

UPDATE: As the nation braces for the upcoming No Kings protests, Fox News host Jesse Watters has launched a scathing critique of Democrats’ protest effectiveness. Just days before the rallies set for July 15, 2023, Watters expressed skepticism about the left’s ability to organize peaceful demonstrations.
Watters stated, “The Democrats, every time they do gather together, it’s not mostly peaceful,” highlighting past protests that turned violent. His comments come as organizers anticipate an estimated 2,500 anti-Trump rallies across more than 2,500 cities, marking a significant increase from the previous wave of protests that drew over 5 million participants nationwide.
The No Kings rallies aim to address President Donald Trump’s perceived authoritarian agenda, which activists argue has intensified since the initial protests in June. Key issues driving the demonstrations include increased ICE raids and attacks on political opponents, such as former FBI Director James Comey, and New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Watters contrasted the upcoming protests with the historic Tea Party movement, claiming that while the Tea Party was a “legitimate protest movement,” current Democratic efforts feel “astroturfed.” His comments reflect a broader narrative within conservative media, questioning the authenticity of left-wing activism.
The stakes are heightened as GOP Senator Roger Marshall warned that the rallies could attract “paid actors, agitators, Pro-Hamas, and Antifa members.” He went on to suggest that the National Guard may need to be deployed to ensure safety during the events. “Hopefully it’ll be peaceful. I doubt it,” Marshall remarked, echoing concerns about potential violence.
As demonstrators prepare to take to the streets, the atmosphere is charged with anticipation and tension. Organizers have ramped up their efforts, claiming that the protests are more crucial than ever given the current political climate.
With the clock ticking down to the rallies, Watters remains unconvinced about their impact, stating, “I don’t know if this has legs.” The impending protests represent a pivotal moment for both sides in the ongoing political battle in the U.S.
