Kansas Tops Tennessee 81-76, Hands Vols First Loss of Season

UPDATE: In a stunning turnaround, the No. 17 Tennessee Volunteers suffered their first loss of the season, falling to Kansas 81-76 in the third-place match of the Players Era Championship on December 6, 2023, in Las Vegas. The Jayhawks, now 6-2, showcased a dramatic comeback after trailing by as much as 12 points in the second half.

Kansas’ Melvin Council Jr. and Elmarko Jackson led the charge with 17 points each, while Tre White contributed 14 points before fouling out. Flory Bidunga added 13 points in a crucial performance that propelled Kansas to victory.
