UPDATE: Rain is sweeping across Massachusetts this morning, with the National Weather Service confirming quick-moving showers that will clear by this afternoon. Heavy rain is anticipated in areas like Worcester and Boston, with the last of the steady rain moving out of coastal regions by mid to late morning.

Temperatures will remain mild today, hovering in the lower to middle 60s Fahrenheit. The Berkshires are expected to feel the chill first, reaching only around 59 degrees with lows dipping to 35 degrees. Meanwhile, Springfield and Worcester will see highs of 64 degrees and lows of 41 degrees. On Cape Cod, temperatures will peak at 65 degrees with overnight lows around 51 degrees, while Boston could be the warmest, reaching 66 degrees with a low of 54 degrees.

Looking ahead, Thursday and Friday are predicted to be cloudy with temperatures in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Although primarily dry, there’s a slight chance of spot showers, particularly in the afternoons.

As the weekend approaches, expect a significant drop in temperatures, with highs mainly in the 50s and overnight lows plunging into the upper 20s and 30s. This forecast suggests conditions slightly below normal for this time of year.
