Trump Rages Against NY Times Over ‘Hit Piece’ on Fatigue
UPDATE: Former President Donald Trump has launched a furious tirade against the New York Times, responding to a recent report questioning his energy levels and increasing fatigue. The article, published on November 6, 2023, noted that observers at a public event saw signs of weariness from Trump, who is 79 years old.
In a vehement post on Truth Social early Wednesday, Trump dismissed the article as a “hit piece” and labeled the Times as “Creeps” intent on spreading negativity about him. He claimed, “I won the 2024 Presidential Election in a Landslide, winning all Seven Swing States, the Popular Vote, and the Electoral College by a lot.”
The former president’s outburst included a litany of his accomplishments, stating he had “settled 8 Wars” and achieved “48 New Stock Market Highs.” He attributed the current economic stability to his administration, claiming, “I have already brought [inflation] down to normal, and prices, including groceries, are coming down.”
Trump’s comments come in response to the Times’ observation that during a midday event, he appeared to doze off while executives discussed weight-loss drugs. This portrayal has triggered a strong reaction from Trump, who insisted that he has “never worked so hard in my life.”
He continued his attack on the Times, calling their coverage “almost every thing that they write about me, including election results, ALL PURPOSELY NEGATIVE.” Trump specifically targeted Katie Rogers, the reporter behind the piece, stating she is a “third-rate reporter” and made derogatory remarks about her appearance.
Despite his frustration, Trump asserted, “I have my highest Poll Numbers, ever,” suggesting that his popularity remains intact amid the scrutiny. He concluded his tirade by acknowledging that while energy may wane with age, his recent “PERFECT PHYSICAL EXAM AND A COMPREHENSIVE COGNITIVE TEST” prove he is not currently affected.
This latest development underscores the ongoing media scrutiny faced by Trump as he approaches the next election cycle. Observers will be watching closely for how this public outburst impacts his political standing and voter perception as the political landscape continues to evolve.
As the situation develops, audiences remain eager to see if Trump will further address the media’s portrayal of him and how it may shape his campaign strategy moving forward.
