BREAKING: Former President Donald Trump is sounding the alarm over what he describes as “dark and sinister forces” aiming to dismantle his crucial tariff policies, claiming they threaten the already strong U.S. economy. In urgent posts on Truth Social earlier today, November 9, Trump emphasized the need for robust tariffs to protect national security and economic strength.

The former president highlighted a developing situation where European nations are contemplating their own tariff strategies against China. Trump warned, “The biggest threat in history to United States National Security would be a negative decision on Tariffs by the U.S. Supreme Court.” He further stated, “We would be financially defenseless,” asserting that the U.S. must act as decisively as Europe in imposing tariffs against China and others.

In another post, Trump reaffirmed his belief that his economic policies have led to the U.S. being the “strongest” economy globally, asserting, “Because of Tariffs, easily and quickly applied, our National Security has been greatly enhanced.” He added, “Only dark and sinister forces would want to see that end!!!”

These comments come amidst escalating tensions with Mexico over what Trump describes as a “violation” of the Water Treaty, affecting vital resources in Texas. He stated, “Mexico continues to violate our comprehensive Water Treaty, and this violation is seriously hurting our BEAUTIFUL TEXAS CROPS AND LIVESTOCK.” Trump pointed out that Mexico owes the U.S. over 800,000 acre-feet of water due to non-compliance over the past five years.

Trump’s ultimatum is clear: the U.S. needs Mexico to release 200,000 acre-feet of water before December 31, 2023. If not, he has authorized a 5% tariff on Mexican goods. “The longer Mexico takes to release the water, the more our Farmers are hurt,” he asserted. This urgent demand for compliance underscores the direct impact on U.S. agriculture and food security.

As Trump intensifies his rhetoric, experts are warning of potential economic consequences. Joseph Feldman, a senior managing director at Telsey Advisory Group, has raised concerns: “In the first half of next year, we are concerned that consumers are going to start to see the price increases become a little more broad-based.”

With prices expected to rise significantly by 2026, the stakes are high for both U.S. farmers and consumers. Trump’s statements signal a critical turning point as he rallies support for his tariff policy while addressing a pressing water crisis affecting Texas agriculture.

Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story, as the implications of Trump’s warnings resonate across economic and agricultural sectors. The urgency of this situation demands immediate attention, both from policymakers and the public.
