Urgent Arrests Made in Murder of Condor Club Manager
BREAKING NEWS: A Bay Area man and woman have been arrested in connection with the shocking murder of Mark Calcagni, the 60-year-old general manager of the historic Condor Club in San Francisco. Santa Rosa Police confirmed that the arrests took place on October 24, 2025, as investigators closed in on leads from witness interviews, surveillance footage, and digital evidence.
Calcagni was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound in a bike lane on Brookwood Avenue near Birdsfoot Way at approximately 6:25 a.m. on October 3. Authorities report that Richard Lund, aged 43, shot Calcagni after waiting for him to return home from work. Lund was apprehended at his Dublin apartment, while his accomplice, Asia Morton, 25, was arrested upon returning from a trip to San Francisco International Airport.
According to police, Lund and Morton both previously worked at the Condor Club, which has been a staple of San Francisco’s nightlife since its opening in 1964. Authorities believe Morton may have helped plan the attack. Detectives executed a search warrant at the couple’s residence on St. Patrick Way, but details on any evidence found remain undisclosed.
The investigation has been ongoing since the tragic incident, and while officials have not released a motive, the nature of the crime has raised eyebrows in the community. The Condor Club, notorious for its rich and scandalous history, is also remembered for a tragic incident in 1983 involving a fatal accident with a piano during a show.
Both suspects are currently being held without bail on murder charges. The Santa Rosa Police Department continues to seek additional information regarding Calcagni’s death as the investigation remains active.
This latest development has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the dark underbelly of an establishment that has long been synonymous with San Francisco’s nightlife. As details continue to unfold, residents are left grappling with the implications of this violence in their city.
