UPDATE: The “No Kings” protest group has just announced a **nationwide boycott** targeting **Target**, **Home Depot**, and **Amazon** during the crucial Thanksgiving shopping period from **November 27 to December 1**. This bold move aims to challenge the Trump administration’s policies and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions that the group claims enable abuse of power.

The boycott is a call to action for Americans to “withhold their purchasing power” as a form of protest. The group argues that these retailers are complicit in the administration’s controversial policies, including aggressive immigration enforcement and a rollback of diversity and inclusion initiatives.

“No Kings” specifically criticizes **Target** for backing down on its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, claiming this has negatively impacted Black employees and communities. The group states, “Target has rolled back their DEI initiatives, which included ending programs aimed at supporting Black employees and businesses.” This shift has reportedly contributed to a significant drop in Target’s stock price.

Home Depot faces allegations of colluding with ICE, as the group asserts that the retailer allows agents to detain laborers illegally. “Laborers in our communities are not able to look for work safely,” they added, referencing previous immigration raids at Home Depot locations. The company has denied involvement, stating it is not notified about immigration enforcement activities.

Amazon is also in the crosshairs, accused of funding the administration for corporate tax cuts and maintaining poor working conditions for employees. The group highlights that CEO **Jeff Bezos** has donated over **$1 million** to the Trump administration, making Amazon a target for this boycott.

This protest comes on the heels of other coordinated actions against the Trump administration, which have taken place in over **2,700 locations** across the United States and internationally in countries like Germany and the UK. The “No Kings” movement aims to amplify its impact during the Thanksgiving shopping season, a critical time for retailers’ profits.

LaTosha Brown, co-founder of Black Voters Matter Fund, emphasized the significance of economic noncooperation in this movement: “When corporations align with cruelty and authoritarianism, they must understand that our purchasing power matters. Economic noncooperation is a powerful, nonviolent tool for a free people.”

As the boycott gains momentum, many are left wondering how effective these actions will be in influencing corporate policies and challenging the Trump administration’s agenda. The “No Kings” group encourages consumers to support small, independent businesses instead, emphasizing the importance of collective purchasing power in creating change.

With the holiday shopping season approaching, the immediate impact of this boycott could resonate widely across the retail landscape. Stay tuned for updates as this story develops.
