URGENT UPDATE: Starting December 1, 2025, strict winter parking regulations will be enforced across the Triple Cities area, impacting residents and visitors alike. This critical change is aimed at ensuring safe roadways during the winter months, but non-compliance could lead to hefty fines.

Residents of the Village of Johnson City must adapt to alternate street parking rules, which will remain in effect until March 31, 2026. Motorists are required to park on the even side of the street on even days and the odd side on odd days. Officials emphasize checking house numbers to avoid tickets, especially as initial warning tickets may not be issued this year.

In Binghamton, similar rules apply, but they conclude earlier on March 15, 2026. Authorities stress the importance of moving vehicles off streets during snow events to facilitate snow plowing and emergency access. The odd/even parking transition occurs at 5 p.m., meaning if it’s the 1st, vehicles must switch to the even side by that time to avoid penalties.

Endicott’s winter parking rules also commence on December 1, prohibiting parking on village streets between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. unless otherwise posted. During snow emergencies, parking restrictions extend from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to allow for effective snow removal operations.

The Town of Vestal enforces its annual Winter Parking Ban from December 1 through March 31, prohibiting parking on town roads between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m..

Residents are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these rules to avoid unnecessary fines and ensure community safety. For detailed information, visit the respective municipal websites of the Village of Johnson City, City of Binghamton, Village of Endicott, and Town of Vestal.

As winter approaches, this is a crucial reminder for all drivers in the area: stay informed and park smart to prevent fines and support local snow removal efforts. Share this news to help others avoid the Grinch-like fate of an unexpected parking ticket!
