Jewish Nevada Appoints Alyssa Deggan as New Associate Director

Jewish Nevada has appointed Alyssa Deggan as the new Associate Director of Philanthropy and Engagement, effective immediately. This organization represents over 70,000 Jews across the state, and Deggan will focus on enhancing community connections, expanding philanthropic initiatives, and nurturing the next generation of Jewish leadership in southern Nevada.
In her new capacity, Deggan brings a wealth of experience drawn from her diverse background in hospitality and real estate. Her expertise in relationship-building, strategic growth, and community engagement will be crucial for Jewish Nevada’s goals. Deggan holds a degree in Tourism Management with a concentration in Sustainable Community Development, highlighting her dedication to fostering environments where individuals feel connected and empowered.
Leadership Role and Community Engagement
In addition to her role as Associate Director, Deggan will also act as the Young Leadership Director. In this dual capacity, she will guide the Jewish Nevada Young Leadership Program, aiming to inspire young adults to take an active role in sustaining and enriching Jewish life. Deggan’s vision emphasizes the importance of blending tradition with innovation to ensure that the Jewish community in Nevada remains vibrant and inclusive for future generations.
Stefanie Tuzman, President and CEO of Jewish Nevada, expressed strong confidence in Deggan’s capabilities. “Alyssa brings a wealth of expertise in community building to our organization,” Tuzman stated. “Her dedication to fostering a strong sense of belonging, combined with her enthusiasm and passion for Jewish life, will be invaluable to both Jewish Nevada and our community members.”
