Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is set to provide complimentary rides in the Dallas-Fort Worth area on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2025. This initiative is a result of a collaboration with Molson Coors Beverage Company, aimed at ensuring party-goers can return home safely after celebrating the arrival of 2026.

The fare-free rides will begin at 18:00 and continue until the end of regular service, which is approximately 01:00. The offer is limited to the first 10,500 riders who download the DART GoPass® app and enter the code COORSNYE25. This promotion covers local buses, light rail, regional rail, the TRE commuter rail service, GoLink on-demand service, and paratransit services.

According to Alison Hanrahan, community affairs manager for Molson Coors, “DART is an integral part of how Dallas stays connected, and we’re proud to partner with them once again to help people get home safely this New Year’s Eve.” The Free Rides program has been in operation since 1988 and has provided nearly 10 million free rides across the United States. The year 2024 marked the program’s highest ridership, with over 440,000 rides distributed nationwide.

The partnership also extends to several other cities, including Charlotte, Chicago, Denver, Milwaukee, Phoenix, and Washington, D.C., where Molson Coors will offer similar fare-free rides on New Year’s Eve. DART encourages Dallas visitors and residents to explore their routes and plan their free ride by visiting Dart.org/NYE or using the GoPass® app.

This initiative not only highlights DART’s commitment to public safety but also reflects the growing trend of collaboration between beverage companies and public transit agencies to promote responsible drinking during holiday celebrations. By making transportation accessible, the program aims to alleviate concerns about impaired driving and enhance community well-being during festive events.
