Prime Video to Stream NFL Black Friday Game in Canada
Prime Video has confirmed that it will broadcast the highly anticipated NFL Black Friday game between the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles on November 28. This marks a significant milestone as it will be the first NFL game available for global streaming on Prime Video, expanding its reach to Canadian audiences.
The announcement follows a partnership established on October 22, when Amazon and the NFL revealed plans for the Black Friday match to be accessible worldwide. Notably, prior to this agreement, broadcast rights in Canada had not been secured. With these rights finalized, Prime Video will offer the game in both English and French, starting at 3:00 p.m. ET, and no subscription or Prime membership will be required to view the event.
Innovative Features Enhance Viewing Experience
The global presentation of Black Friday Football on Prime Video will include a variety of advanced features designed to enhance the NFL viewing experience. These features encompass Rapid Recap, high-definition HDR video, and Next Gen Stats powered by AWS, providing fans with an immersive experience.
In addition to the football game, Prime Video will kick off the day’s programming with “The Skins Game” at 9:00 a.m. ET. This segment will showcase notable golfers, including Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry, Xander Schauffele, and Keegan Bradley, as they compete at Panther National in South Florida.
The pregame coverage for the Black Friday Football match will begin at 2:45 p.m. ET, leading up to the kickoff at 3:00 p.m. ET from Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia. Following the game, there will be a postgame show, the timing of which will be announced later.
The complete lineup of Black Friday Sports on Prime Video is as follows (all times Eastern / ET):
– 9:00 a.m.: PGA TOUR’s “The Skins Game”
– 2:45 p.m.: Black Friday Football Pregame
– 3:00 p.m.: Black Friday Football: Chicago Bears at Philadelphia Eagles
– TBD p.m.: Black Friday Football Postgame (immediately following the game)
As Prime Video prepares for this significant event, the streaming service demonstrates its commitment to expanding sports programming and engaging with a broader audience. The combination of premium football action and high-quality broadcasting features is expected to attract a substantial viewership on this notable day in the sports calendar.
