FRESNO GOLF TOURNAMENT RAISES OVER $30K FOR ANIMALS NOW

URGENT UPDATE: The sixth annual Animal Compassion Team Golf Tournament just wrapped up at the Belmont Country Club in Fresno County, California, raising over $30,000 for local no-kill shelters. On Monday, more than a hundred enthusiastic golfers gathered to support the cause, demonstrating their commitment to helping dogs and cats find forever homes.
This year, the tournament not only met its fundraising goal but exceeded it, thanks in part to generous extra donations from participants and local supporters. As Doug Gray, the special events coordinator for the Animal Compassion Team, stated, “It’s great to see them, it’s really a friendship type thing we get to see everybody get together again and for the perfect cause.”
The event drew returning participants who have made it a tradition to support this vital initiative. With about 30 volunteers working tirelessly throughout the day, the atmosphere was filled with joy and camaraderie. Gray emphasized the emotional impact of the event, saying, “It just brings me a lot of joy, and I know we have about 30 volunteers out here today and I know it brings them joy equally as much.”
The funds raised will directly benefit the care of animals in need, ensuring these furry friends receive the love and support they deserve. Organizers are thrilled with the turnout and the community’s dedication to animal welfare.
This annual tournament highlights not just the importance of fundraising but also the power of community bonding over a shared love for animals. Those who wish to contribute further can visit the Animal Compassion Team’s website to make donations and support their efforts year-round.
