Isaiah Thomas Aims for One More NBA Season, Teams Interested Now
BREAKING: Longtime NBA guard Isaiah Thomas has declared he is ready to play for a team immediately, expressing confidence that he has “at least” one more season left in him. In an exclusive interview with TMZ Sports, Thomas revealed that he is in excellent shape and has garnered interest from several teams looking to sign him.
During a recent encounter at LAX, the 36-year-old Thomas stated, “I’m staying ready,” and confirmed he is in contact with multiple organizations. His last full-season contract was with the Washington Wizards in 2019, where he averaged 17.5 points per game throughout his career, including a standout tenure with the Boston Celtics.
Despite facing significant injuries, Thomas insists his body feels “amazing” and he still possesses the ability to compete at a “high level.” He added, “I’m healthy, I’m only 36, I still got a few more years to play… but ideally, I would love to play one more.”
Thomas last played in the NBA with the Phoenix Suns in 2024, but has since made appearances on 10-day contracts with various teams and spent time in the G League. His determination to return highlights not only his passion for the game but also the potential for teams to benefit from his experience and skill.
As the NBA season approaches, fans and analysts alike are eager to see which teams will take advantage of Thomas’s readiness. While he acknowledges that he has options off the court, his desire to contribute to an NBA team remains strong.
