Veteran Lenn Dobbins, 94, Remembered for Service and Simplicity

Lenn Dobbins, a respected veteran and beloved member of his community, passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 94. He died at the Garden View Nursing Facility in O’Fallon, Missouri, leaving behind a legacy of service and devotion to family.

Born in the Hancock Community near Caraway, Lenn was the son of Austin and Bertha Dobbins. He served his country honorably as a combat veteran in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, he dedicated his career to working as a forklift driver for Randall Company until his retirement.

In his later years, Lenn found profound joy in his faith. He was an active member of the Hackman Road Church of Christ in St. Charles and had previously attended the Main & 13th Street Church of Christ in Blytheville. He cherished the simple pleasures of life, which included camping on the Spring River, fishing, hunting, watching western films, and listening to classic country music.

Lenn is remembered not only for his patriotism but also for his deep love for family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Mangrum Dobbins; his brothers, Sallee, Eugene, and his twin brother, Glenn Dobbins; and his sister, Irene Thompson.

He is survived by his daughter, Michele Minton, and her husband, Justin, of St. Peters, Missouri. He also leaves behind a grandson, David Minton, and his wife, Katie, of St. Charles, Missouri, along with two great-grandchildren, Lorelei and Cullen Minton.

Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on February 9, 2026, at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel, with Elder Cade Couch officiating. The family will welcome friends starting at 9:30 a.m. until the service begins. A private burial will follow the ceremony.
