Noah Schnapp Shares Humorous Mix-Ups as Fans Mistake Him for Harry Potter
Noah Schnapp, known for his role in the hit series Stranger Things, recently discussed the amusing instances where fans have confused him for Daniel Radcliffe, the actor behind the iconic character of Harry Potter. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Schnapp revealed that this mix-up has occurred at least three times throughout 2024.
Schnapp, who is currently promoting the final season of Stranger Things, acknowledged the similarities between the two franchises, albeit in a light-hearted manner. He noted that these encounters typically happen when he is alone. “When we’re all together, it’s kind of insanity. But I will say, actually, when I’m alone, I’ve been getting Harry Potter the past few years,” he explained.
During the interview, Schnapp recounted how fans often approach him, saying, “I love your show,” to which he responds with gratitude. They then express their admiration for Harry Potter, leading to his humorous reply, “Oh, wrong franchise.” The actor reflected on the shared elements between the two characters, stating, “Yes, there’s a little ‘The Boy Who Lived’ and ‘Zombie Boy’ kind of parallels.”
Character Development and Directorial Experience
Schnapp’s character, Will Byers, has experienced significant growth throughout the series, culminating in dramatic developments in the first part of the latest season. The Duffer Brothers, who created the show, have allowed Schnapp to explore new dimensions of his character, even giving him the opportunity to direct a scene featuring a younger version of Will.
The fifth season of Stranger Things premiered on Netflix with four episodes on November 26, 2023. Following this release, fans can expect the second volume, which includes three episodes, to debut on Christmas. The two-hour series finale is scheduled to air on New Year’s Eve, marking the conclusion of the beloved series.
As Schnapp continues to navigate his career in the entertainment world, his light-hearted anecdotes serve as a reminder of the enduring impact that both Stranger Things and the Harry Potter franchise have on their audiences.
