Local Law Enforcement Launches New Year’s Sober Driving Campaign
As New Year’s celebrations approach, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office is intensifying patrols to promote sober driving through the Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over campaign. This initiative, running until January 1, 2026, aims to discourage impaired driving during the holiday festivities. Motorists are urged to adhere to all traffic regulations in Louisiana for their safety and that of others. Specific patrol locations will remain undisclosed to maximize the effectiveness of the campaign. Funding for the overtime pay of officers participating in this initiative comes from a federal grant administered by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
