Securian Asset Management Reduces Accenture Holdings by 8.1%
Securian Asset Management Inc. has decreased its stake in Accenture PLC by 8.1% during the third quarter, according to a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The firm now holds 30,080 shares of the global consulting giant, having sold 2,659 shares in the period. This adjustment brings the total value of Securian’s holdings in Accenture to approximately $7,418,000.
Other institutional investors have also been active in reshaping their positions in Accenture. Investors Research Corp increased its stake by a substantial 73.8%, acquiring 106 shares valued at $26,000 after purchasing an additional 45 shares last quarter. Similarly, Harbor Capital Advisors Inc. boosted its holdings by 132.6%, now owning 107 shares worth $26,000 after acquiring 61 shares during the same timeframe. Davis Capital Management and Elevation Wealth Partners LLC also joined the trend, with the latter increasing its stake by an impressive 146.0% to hold 123 shares valued at $30,000. Currently, institutional investors own 75.14% of Accenture’s stock.

Analysts have weighed in on Accenture’s stock performance recently. Wolfe Research raised its price target from $300.00 to $330.00 and assigned an “outperform” rating. Meanwhile, Wells Fargo & Company initiated coverage with an “equal weight” rating and a target price of $251.00. Other firms, including Guggenheim and Royal Bank of Canada, have also increased their price targets, reflecting positive sentiment toward the company’s performance.
As of the latest trading session, Accenture’s stock opened at $275.31, showing a year-to-date increase of 4.3%. The share price has fluctuated between a 52-week low of $229.40 and a 52-week high of $398.35. The company has a market capitalization of $169.48 billion, with a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 22.75.
Accenture’s financial health remains strong, as indicated by its recent earnings report. The company announced earnings of $3.94 per share for the last quarter, surpassing analysts’ expectations of $3.73 by $0.21. Revenue for the quarter reached $18.74 billion, exceeding projections of $18.51 billion and reflecting a year-over-year increase of 5.7%.

In addition to its solid financial performance, Accenture recently declared a quarterly dividend of $1.63 per share, scheduled for payment on February 13, 2024. Shareholders on record as of January 13, 2024, will receive this dividend, marking an annualized yield of 2.4%.
Insider trading activity has also been notable, with Manish Sharma, an insider at Accenture, selling 6,902 shares on October 22 for a total of approximately $1,725,569.02. Following this transaction, Sharma’s holdings decreased significantly. Similarly, Ryoji Sekido, the CEO, sold 2,500 shares on the same day, valued at around $623,675.00.
