Funding the Future Launches Urgent Music Tour for Financial Literacy
UPDATE: Funding the Future has just launched an exciting music tour dedicated to teaching high school students vital financial literacy skills across Georgia. Kicking off on March 9, 2026, at Cook Middle School in Sparks, this innovative program, featuring singer-songwriter Gooding, will transform school auditoriums into engaging concert experiences that empower students to take control of their financial futures.
This Spring 2026 Tour promises to blend high-energy music with essential lessons about budgeting, credit, and debt management. Students flock to these concerts not only for the dynamic performances but also for the valuable financial tools they gain. The next event is set for March 10, 2026, at Redan High School in Stone Mountain, followed by a stop at Statesboro High School on March 11.
According to Brad Raffensperger, Secretary of State of Georgia, “This partnership empowers the next generation of Georgians with the tools they need to succeed.” He emphasizes the importance of connecting music with financial literacy, ensuring students are prepared to face adulthood with confidence and make informed decisions that can shape their futures.
The tour continues to various schools throughout March, including Colquitt County High School on March 12 and Mount Zion High School on March 13. Each event features Gooding’s original music, captivating visuals, and personal stories of resilience, making financial education both accessible and entertaining.
Funding the Future, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has already impacted over 317,000 students across 36 states, Washington, D.C., and Canada since its inception in 2014. Their mission is to spark conversations about money management and prepare the next generation for lifelong financial success through live performances.
Gooding, an internationally recognized artist and advocate, has performed nearly 3,000 shows in more than 300 cities across seven countries. His work not only entertains but also educates, making this tour a critical opportunity for students to gain financial knowledge in a fun and engaging way.
