I felt like, you know, not everybody can be world champion, but when I have this, I can make it as big as I can.” His passion for the title is evident, and he aims to bring it back to prominence.

Rusev recounted a pivotal moment from his career when he was recognized by former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon for his hard work. “I was getting trimmed and I went to Vince like all pumped, and he’s like, ‘Oh, you look great.’ The next thing you know, I was United States champion,” Rusev said. This experience highlights how McMahon has a history of rewarding dedication among his talent.

Moving beyond his personal experiences, Rusev praised McMahon’s approach to management. “When he sees you put in the work, he will reward you,” he remarked. Although McMahon is no longer actively involved with WWE, Rusev remains optimistic about the direction of his own career.

Looking ahead, Rusev expressed his belief in his potential for future success. “I will be U.S. champ. I’ll be U.S. champ or Intercontinental champ or the big champ. I can do it all,” he declared. This confidence stems from his successful past, which includes notable victories over prominent wrestlers such as Sheamus, Kalisto, and Shinsuke Nakamura.
