Enchanting Nutcracker Ballet Story Time to Delight Families in Townsend
Families in Townsend can immerse themselves in the holiday spirit with a special “Nutcracker Ballet Story Time” scheduled for 18:00 on November 25, 2023. This event will take place at the Townsend Public Library, located at 12 Dudley Road. Dancers from the North Central Youth Ballet (NCYB) will perform captivating excerpts from their upcoming rendition of “The Nutcracker,” all while narrators recount the beloved story.
Community Collaboration in Dance
The North Central Youth Ballet is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing young dancers with vital professional experiences in ballet. By uniting dancers from various local studios, the company fosters collaboration and artistic expression through community performances. Co-founders and directors Karen Brown and Megan Simisky emphasize the importance of nurturing young talent while bringing the joy of ballet to the community.
Simisky expressed her enthusiasm for the event: “When you watch ballet in person, it creates excitement, inspires true joy, and makes you feel like you participated just by seeing. That feeling, the holiday anticipation, and the combination of all our amazing community participation help make this production the best way to kick off your season!”
Upcoming Performances at North Middlesex Regional High School
The North Central Youth Ballet will present full performances of “The Nutcracker” on stage at 18:00 on December 5, 2023, and at 12:00 and 18:00 on December 6, 2023, at North Middlesex Regional High School, located at 19 Main Street.
