JA Solar has achieved the top position among solar module manufacturers worldwide, according to a recent report by Wood Mackenzie. The company received an overall score of 91.7 in the Wood Mackenzie Global Solar Module Manufacturer Ranking for the first half of 2025. This score is the highest among the 38 crystalline silicon photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturers evaluated, marking a significant milestone for the company.

The ranking, released by Wood Mackenzie, a highly regarded global energy research and consultancy firm, assesses manufacturers from a customer-centric perspective. The evaluated companies represent a substantial portion of global PV manufacturing capacity and shipments, making this report a critical benchmark for operational strength and bankability. The assessment considers ten core dimensions, including manufacturing experience, vertical integration, capacity utilization, and technology maturity.

JA Solar demonstrated robust performance across all criteria, which reflects its disciplined operations, advanced technology platform, and proven reliability. This achievement reinforces the company’s standing in the market and its capacity to meet the expectations of developers, financial institutions, and partners around the world.

The latest result highlights ongoing progress in technological development, operational execution, and responsiveness to market demands.

As the global energy transition accelerates, industry stakeholders increasingly prioritize manufacturers that combine scale, resilience, and sustainability. JA Solar remains dedicated to advancing innovation and strengthening supply chain collaboration while promoting green manufacturing practices. This commitment enables the company to deliver high-performance PV solutions that support long-term value creation and contribute to global decarbonization efforts.
