RealMan Robotics has launched three innovative joint modules, marking a significant advancement in high-performance robotics. The new products include the ultra-compact WHJ03, the high-torque hollow-core WHJ120, and the versatile WHJ48V Wide-Voltage Series. This introduction complements the company’s strategic aim to enhance its core robotic component offerings, providing a unified power solution suitable for various robotic applications, from lightweight desktop systems to robust industrial equipment.

Introducing the Next Generation of Robotics

The three new joint modules are designed to meet the diverse needs of the robotics industry by featuring compact, integrated, and modular designs. The high-power-density (HPD) servo joints provide superior torque density, rapid dynamic response, and high precision while ensuring reliability and cost efficiency. These advancements will support a range of applications across consumer, commercial, and industrial sectors.

The WHJ03 stands out as an ultra-compact joint module, delivering a rated torque of 3 Nm while measuring only 33 x 48 mm. This design is particularly beneficial for desktop robots and consumer humanoids, where space constraints are a primary concern. Compared to conventional alternatives, the WHJ03 achieves a torque increase of 35-55% within the same volume, while its size is reduced by over 50%. The module features minimal backlash and low jitter, ensuring smooth and precise movements, ideal for tasks such as liquid handling and delicate object manipulation.

High Torque and Flexibility with WHJ120

Next in the lineup, the WHJ120 joint module offers a rated torque of 120 Nm with a hollow-core design that measures 16 mm. This configuration is particularly suited for collaborative robots (cobots) and humanoids that require both high torque and flexible cable management. The hollow-core structure simplifies mechanical complexity while facilitating heavy-duty operations. Typical applications of the WHJ120 include joints in cobots, such as shoulder, elbow, and waist connections, as well as in humanoids, enabling designs that are both compact and powerful, capable of handling larger payloads.

The WHJ48V Wide-Voltage Series completes the trio, supporting input voltages of up to 60V. This series is engineered for high power and efficiency, providing higher peak speeds and improved energy density. It also minimizes current draw, heat generation, and cable losses, making it fully compatible with 24V systems. This versatility allows the WHJ48V series to be used in high-end humanoids, mobile robots—including quadrupeds and wheeled platforms—cobots, and exoskeletons, all while meeting stringent requirements for dynamic response and lightweight design.

With these new modules, RealMan Robotics further solidifies its position as a key player in the global robotics landscape. By delivering modular, standardized, and high-performance joint solutions, the company enhances its ability to provide a unified drivetrain foundation that will empower the next generation of intelligent robots.
