The boutique hotel-casino known as The Cromwell in Las Vegas will cease taking reservations starting February 15, 2024, as it undergoes a major rebranding and renovation. The property is set to be renamed the Vanderpump Hotel, reflecting a new partnership with reality television star Lisa Vanderpump. According to Caesars Entertainment, the hotel operator, room availability is planned to resume on April 13, 2024.

During this period, the casino floor and the property’s restaurant, Giada, will remain operational. The complete transition to the Vanderpump brand is expected to be finalized by early 2026. This rebranding effort is part of a broader collaboration between Caesars Entertainment and Vanderpump, which has already produced several successful venues, including Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace and Vanderpump à Paris at the Paris hotel-casino.

The Cromwell, originally opened in 1979 as the Barbary Coast, has undergone several ownership changes over the years. After Boyd Gaming acquired Coast Casinos in 2004, a property swap with Harrah’s Entertainment, now Caesars, led to the establishment of Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall and Saloon in 2007. The name The Cromwell was introduced in 2014, marking another era in the property’s storied history.

Caesars Entertainment has indicated that the new Vanderpump Hotel will feature an “emphasis on sexy elegance and comfort,” aiming to provide guests with beautifully designed rooms and a revitalized casino experience. As the rebranding unfolds, details remain limited, but the anticipation surrounding this transformation is palpable among guests and industry observers alike.

This strategic move aligns with the growing trend of celebrity-driven hospitality experiences, enhancing the appeal of Las Vegas as a destination. As renovations progress, the focus will be on creating an inviting atmosphere that resonates with both new visitors and returning patrons. The collaboration with Vanderpump is likely to attract her fanbase, adding to the hotel’s allure in a competitive market.

Overall, the transition from The Cromwell to the Vanderpump Hotel represents a significant shift in branding and experience, setting the stage for an exciting new chapter in the property’s history.
