Brad Pitt Seeks Court Intervention in Legal Battle with Angelina Jolie
Brad Pitt is intensifying his legal battle against ex-wife Angelina Jolie as he seeks court intervention over their shared winery, Chateau Miraval, located in France. Recent court documents reveal Pitt’s request for a judge to compel Jolie to provide private communications that she has allegedly withheld. This latest development comes amid ongoing disputes regarding the management and ownership of the winery, which the former couple purchased during their marriage in 2008.
According to reports, Pitt filed the new request on Monday, aiming to counter Jolie’s demand for $33,000 to cover her legal fees. He has accused her of “persistent misdirection” throughout their contentious legal proceedings. The documents, obtained exclusively by Us Weekly, indicate that Pitt believes Jolie has only submitted one relevant internal email, which discusses the terms of the sale at the center of their dispute. He contends that many more communications are missing.
In his filing, Pitt specifically requested the court to mandate Jolie to disclose emails exchanged between her and various advisors, including business manager Terry Bird, publicists Chloe Dalton and Arminka Helic, as well as two financial consultants. He asserts that these communications are crucial to understanding the circumstances surrounding Jolie’s alleged sale of her shares in the winery, which Pitt claims was done illegally.
The feud over Chateau Miraval has escalated since Pitt’s lawsuit filed in 2022, wherein he accused Jolie of breaching their agreement concerning the property. Pitt maintains that the winery holds significant value and is integral to his business portfolio. The ongoing legal tussle between the Hollywood stars has drawn considerable media attention, reflecting the complexities of their personal and professional entanglements.
As both parties prepare for the next steps in this legal confrontation, the outcome of Pitt’s request for court involvement remains to be seen. The continuing saga highlights the challenges that often accompany high-profile separations, particularly when shared assets are involved.
