Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma marked their sixth wedding anniversary with a lighthearted tribute on social media, where Koma humorously compared their relationship to Taco Bell. On December 21, 2024, Koma took to his Instagram Story to share a playful message about their marriage, which included a wedding photo of the couple cutting their cake.

In his post, Koma wrote, “6 years my wifey. And they said we wouldn’t make it. Literally everyone said, ‘They won’t make it.’ OK just that guy in the Just Jared comment section but f*** him we’re crushing.” He continued with an amusing analogy, stating, “Being married to you is like eating Taco Bell in the late 90’s. I never know which you I’m gonna get but it’s largely the same ingredients and the euphoria outweighs the tummy discomfort.”

Duff quickly responded by reposting Koma’s message, adding, “It’s so hot being compared to Taco Bell. He always gets the assignment.” This exchange exemplifies the couple’s playful dynamic, showcasing their ability to find humor in their relationship.

Koma also shared a glimpse of their early connection, posting a screenshot of a calendar invitation from 2015 that read, “The meeting went well!” He included an email in which he expressed his desire to marry Duff, humorously concluding his post with, “And I did.” To this, Duff replied with, “Haahahahaha dork!”

The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Banks, in 2018, just one year prior to their marriage. They have since expanded their family with daughters Mae and Townes, born in 2021 and 2024, respectively.

As the couple celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in December 2024, Duff shared a heartfelt message about their journey together. She posted a candid photo of Koma, reflecting on the challenges and joys of parenthood. Koma responded in kind, expressing gratitude and admiration for Duff. “As I lay next to you in bed, purely exhausted after our third consecutive 14-hour day of taking our 4 kids skiing — I feel like the luckiest,” he wrote.

Koma continued, “You chose me to do the impossible with. And as we navigate through the truly IN IT years, I think the most exciting thing is knowing on the other side of this, we get each other.” His words resonated with many fans, illustrating the depth of their bond.

Recently, Duff announced her return to the music scene, with Koma accompanying her on this journey. In November 2024, she released her single “Mature,” co-written with Koma and Madison Love. Koma praised the new music on Instagram, stating that the song represents Duff’s reclaiming her artistic voice.

He expressed his excitement, saying, “Ba, I hope the world loves this song, loves your album, and gives you all the flowers you deserve.” Koma’s pride in Duff’s accomplishments is evident, as he emphasized that the creative process was a shared experience, stating, “We got to make something YOU love, that you think is rad, and we got to do it together — the rest is a bonus.”

Their affectionate exchanges and collaborative efforts continue to delight fans, showcasing a vibrant partnership that thrives on humor and creativity. As Duff and Koma navigate the ups and downs of family life, their connection remains strong, highlighting the joy they find in each other and their growing family.
