The GoFundMe page describes Rourke’s situation as urgent, stating, “Today, Mickey is facing a very real and urgent situation: the threat of eviction from his home.” The campaign aims to alleviate the stress associated with his housing instability, allowing Rourke to focus on regaining his footing. The goal is set at $100,000, and as of now, the campaign has raised over $41,000 since it launched on January 4, 2026.

Jones emphasizes that any donation, regardless of size, will significantly impact Rourke’s ability to remain in his home. The description further notes the aim to provide Rourke with “stability and peace of mind during an extremely stressful time.”

The actor’s financial troubles stem from a series of unfortunate events. Rourke began leasing his residence in March 2025, when the monthly rent was $5,200. However, landlord Eric Goldie later increased the rent to $7,000. Along with the overdue rent, Goldie has reportedly requested funds to cover legal fees and the potential forfeiture of the rental agreement.
