Yung Miami’s $100 Million Dating Standard Draws DJ Akademiks’ Critique
Yung Miami, a prominent figure in the music industry, recently shared her expectations for a romantic partner, stating that she seeks someone with a net worth of at least $100 million. This bold declaration sparked a reaction from fellow media personality DJ Akademiks, who challenged her views during a livestream. Akademiks argued that her aspirations for a wealthy partner may not align with her current social circles, suggesting that she should reassess her dating strategy.
In a clip that circulated on social media, particularly on Twitter via the joebuddenclips fan page, Akademiks advised Caresha (Yung Miami’s real name) to “hit the Saweetie dash.” This phrase referenced allegations surrounding fellow artist Saweetie and her rumored connections with wealthy individuals, specifically European soccer players. Akademiks insisted that Yung Miami’s chances of meeting a man with such immense wealth were slim, given her associations with platforms like UPROXX and The Shade Room.
Critique of Personal Choices
The discussion took a more pointed turn when Akademiks brought up Yung Miami’s past relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs. He implied that if she desires a lifestyle associated with extreme wealth, perhaps a reconciliation with the Bad Boy Records mogul would be beneficial. Notably, Combs is currently facing legal issues, including federal charges related to transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution, which complicates the narrative surrounding their past.
Akademiks expressed skepticism about Yung Miami’s ability to attract a wealthy partner, stating, “Ain’t nobody stupid enough to give some ghetto chick out of Miami a $100 million lifestyle.” He went on to suggest that she should consider relocating to more affluent social settings, mentioning events like Formula 1 racing and luxury gatherings in the South of France as places where she might meet potential partners.
Past Clashes and Current Focus
The exchange between Yung Miami and DJ Akademiks is not new; their relationship has been marked by previous tensions. At one point, Yung Miami even released a diss track aimed at Akademiks for critiquing her music and personal life. Despite their history, the current discourse has seen a reduction in public confrontations.
Yung Miami and Diddy were involved in an on-and-off open relationship from 2021 to 2023, which concluded amid allegations of misconduct against him. Yung Miami has publicly denied any involvement in these allegations and has distanced herself from the controversy.
Currently, the “Tea Time” lyricist is channeling her energy into new music and business ventures. The backlash against Akademiks’ comments may suggest that she is not overly concerned with his views, as many supporters have criticized his perspective on her dating choices. As Yung Miami continues to pursue her aspirations, it remains to be seen if she will find her ideal partner with a $100 million fortune.
