AGNC Investment Corp. (NASDAQ: AGNC) has been downgraded from a buy rating to a hold rating by Jones Trading, according to a research report published on Thursday. This decision reflects a broader reassessment of the company, as several other financial institutions have recently adjusted their ratings and target prices for AGNC.

Analysts from Keefe, Bruyette & Woods raised their target price for AGNC Investment from $10.50 to $11.00, maintaining an “outperform” rating in a note released on December 18, 2023. Similarly, the Royal Bank of Canada also increased its price target from $10.00 to $11.00 and assigned an “outperform” rating in a report on October 22, 2023. Weiss Ratings reaffirmed a “hold (c)” rating on AGNC shares in a note on December 29, 2023.

Piper Sandler raised its target price for AGNC Investment from $11.00 to $11.50 with an “overweight” rating noted on January 15, 2024. Meanwhile, Barclays increased its price target from $9.00 to $10.00 and assigned an “equal weight” rating in a report dated January 6, 2024.
